Phat Joe: Let's get Bongeka to Canada
Phat Joe has found a story he simply cannot ignore. He needs your help.
22-year-old Bongeka Dlamini from Umlazi has been selected to participate in the One Young World Summit in Ottawa, Canada, in September.
Bongeka does not have the funds for the trip and needs around R70 000 to make it happen.
The summit aims to bring global attention to the problems facing South Africa.
The event will gather the brightest young people from around the world and empower them to create positive change. They will discuss problems facing their respective countries and reach solutions.
It is set to take place from 28 September 2016 to 1 October 2016.

"When I read the story about Bongeka, I immediately decided we simply have to get to this event," Phat Joe said.
He said the fact that Bongeka is from Umlazi and will be flying the flag of KZN on the international platform makes it even that much more important she attends this summit.
"We need to get Bongeka to Canada where she will be empowered to make positive change," Phat Joe said.
Bongeka, who volunteers for three NGOs, is an asset not only to KZN, but to the country in general.
Phat Joe has already donated R2500 to get the ball rolling, and has called on all of us in KZN to make some sort of contribution.
