Mags chats to Bushy Mckelvey about his upcoming Guinness World Record attempt

Bushy Mckelvey, who has been riding motorcycles for most of his life, was unfortunately knocked down by a motorist and lost his left leg in August 1999. He thought at the time that this was it, no more riding motorcycles, but after getting a prosthetic leg, he went on to conquer a Guinness World Record. Now he wants to break that record again...

Matthew Mckelvey, commonly known as Bushy, is a previous Guinness World Record holder for the greatest distance covered on a motorcycle by an individual in 24 hours (3256.5km) - which he achieved in October 2014.

But his record was broken last year in February by an American in Texas (3604km). Now, Bushy is here to tell Mags and Bongani about his very ambitious World Record attempt to regain his title.

Bushy is going to attempt to get to 3000 miles (which is 4827km) and be the first person on earth to reach 3000 miles in a day. The reason he does these daring things is to raise funds for the Association for the Physically Challenged, who have six homes throughout KZN.
