A frenzy surrounds the alleged 'disappearance' of Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. After a floppy Photoshop fail sent the internet into a meltdown, internet sleuths are coming up with the wildest conspiracy theories on what's happening in the Royal Family.

From marriage split allegations to health complication issues after an abdominal surgery in January, online users are fixated on what (if anything) happened to the mother of three. 

 Stellenbosch Municipality's X (Twitter) account has decided to jump on the bandwagon and make light of the latest royal scandal. 

The South African reports: "A clearly photoshopped image: “[𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚] Kensington Palace has just released a photo of Kate Middleton in Stellenbosch!”, was posted on the account."

The image has since been deleted, however, it was followed up by another that read: "Kate Middleton really enjoying the sights and sounds of Stellenbosch.”
