"Bad days don't last forever..." The petrol price does come down every now and then...

The rise and fall of the petrol price has left motorists revved up for all the wrong reasons.

Where owning a car was once considered a celebrated milestone, it now feels more like a financial burden.

A video that shows just how much people are feeling the pinch, shows a motorist leaving a petrol station after 'filling' his tank with just R20. The attendant recorded the car as it was leaving the station, before turning the camera to the petrol pump.

But the motorist wasn't evading his petrol bill; he was doing the most to conserve what little fuel he had left.

The petrol pump screen showed a total of R20.10, less than a litre of fuel, was used to top up the driver's tank.

This video left so many questions running through people's minds: ' Why?' 'How?' 'Why?'

The why is simple: people are feeling the tough times.

But like this video revealed, tough times don't last forever. While the petrol attendants laughed about the situation, we wonder how far R20 petrol took that driver.

Petrol stations around South Africa have noticed many motorists filling up with petrol and then dashing off. As much as this might be a desperate plea to fuel your car, it leaves the attendants and owners in a bind.

This has seen many petrol stations adopting new ways of dealing with customers, many asking for the money upfront.
