POLL: Yay or nay to sharing your passwords with your partner?

Is sharing your passwords with your partner a sign of trust, or is this taking it too far?

Where do you draw the line when it comes to social media and having your partner's password? 

Over time, relationships with your partner evolve and grow. In the past, a step up would be giving them a key to your place. Now it seems that the new thing is giving them the password to your social media accounts.

But is sharing your password with them the right idea? Does it show trust and loyalty? 

This has been an ongoing debate that has divided many, and the decision to give out your password comes with pros and cons.

A pro could be that it does show that there is trust in your relationship, being open enough to share your digital life with each other.

But on the other hand, there are just some conversations that your partner should not know about - especially when you're frustrated with them and use the opportunity to ask your best friend or confidant for advice. 

I think if there is trust between you and your partner, should a four to six character password matter? Also, if you and your partner break-up, just think about the stress of creating new passwords.
