Adoptees of the week
Updated | By Abi Ray

There are so many animals sitting in shelters all over Kwazulu Natal just waiting for a loving family to take them home.
The sad fact is that animals get lost, abandoned or even worse, abused, all the time.
The ones who are lucky enough to get rescued end up sitting in shelters for months because people think that they aren't good enough, simply because they aren't bought from a breeder or a shop.
The 'Adopt don't shop' stance is one that I truly believe in, and therefore will feature a few adoptees from various shelters in KZN, every week on Animal Antics.
There are contact details for each little furkid, so if you are willing to love and care for one of these animals for the rest of their life, please dont hesitate to call.
There will be a small adoption fee as well as a compulsary home check.
1. Brody - 4 Paws & A Tale Rescue
Brody is feeling way better now that his mange is gone! He would like to have his very own garden to run and play in and a family that will love him forever this time. It is so lonely in this small kennel, and it would be special if someone would take him home to a warm bed and lots of love! This little dude is just waiting to be someone's best friend!
Strict home checks and post adoption follow ups apply as well as a R300 donation to cover deworming and vaccinations. Non negotiable sterilization applies
He is available for adoption/fostering in the Durban and surrounding areas and South coast down to Margate
Please contact Nicky on 084 626 5508 for more information.
2. Chuck - Project Dog
This is Chuck , a 4 month old africanis puppy who has been waiting for a home since he was a couple of weeks old. He is a playful and intelligent boy, very alert and well socialized with a types of other animals. He absolutely adores kids and is very gentle with them!
Call Quicha on 0832727201 if you would like to offer this little guy a loving home.
3. Maddie - Phoenix Animal Care Centre
Maddie is an 8 weeks old Collie cross. She is a very gently little girl and loves nothing better than to cuddle up for a snooze. She is very affectionate and would be a great companion.
If you would like to offer her a home please contact David, [email protected]
A special announcement!
This week Project Dog has a special request as they are desperately trying to find Brownie, one of their previous rescues who went missing in the Mariannheights area. We placed her as a 8 week old puppy with a family in Amanzimtoti at the beginning of the year. The novelty wore off and she was given to a man in the Mariannheights area 3 weeks ago. He has no fence, put her on a chain, she broke free during the night and disappeared. They have scoured the area distributing pamphlets but so far there has been no news. She is now 8 months old and is a Labrador cross staffie. The people at Project Dog are desperate to find this poor girl and take her back. They have raised a reward of R 3000 for her return.
Please call Quicha on 0832727201 if you have seen this beautiful dog.
