Adopt, don't shop!
Updated | By Abi Ray

There are way too many animals sitting in various shelters across Kwazulu Natal, just waiting to find a new home and someone to love them forever.
The reason for them not having a home is because they've been rescued, surrendered, abandoned, or even worse, abused.
Far too many people believe that a dog from a shelter is almost second grade, and that is absolutely not true! They are just as sweet and loving as a dog from a breeder or a shop. I'd even go so far as to say that they are even MORE loving and loyal simply because they've been given a second chance.
Remember that there will be an adoption fee that varies from shelter to shelter, and there will also be a compulsary home check.
1. Jock - Project Dog
Jock is a strong and friendly boerbul x labrador that needs a home as his family has another dog that does not like him. He is very loving and is fully house trained, he is a family pet, not a guard dog. He likes kids, other dogs and cats as well. Please consider giving giving this big guy a second chance.
Call Quicha on 0832727201 if you'd like to adopt jock or find out more.
2. Sam - Phoenix Animal Care & Centre
Sam is a 7 weeks old cross breed, he is a super cute little boy who is looking for a home of his own.
His mum was a jack russell cross but his father is unknown; we think he will be a medium sized boy when fully grown.
If you would be interested in offering him a home, please contact David on 0743390405 or via email [email protected]
3. Dixie - 4 Paws & A Tale Rescue
Dixie is about a year old mix breed girl who was rescued as a tiny pup. She has been waiting patiently for quite a while now, for her very own family. She is full of love and has so much joy to give! She loves attention, to play and to just be a silly dog.
She is available for adoption in Durban and surrounding areas and South Coast (down to Margate). A foster home would be great too (Umkomaas/Scottburgh/Pennington/Toti).
