VIDEO: Tarpon leaps over boat
An angler in Angola has to avoid a large tarpon as it takes to the air in spectacular fashion.
Angola and Gabon on the west coast of Africa are two countries famous for having large tarpon.
Most of the tarpon footage I have shared on the Sportswave page has come from the USA, Cuba or Central America.
Today it gives me great pleasure to have footage shot off Angola.
Tarpon can weigh up to about 140kgs and are powerful and acrobatic fighters.
The angler is the footage below hooked his Angolan tarpon on fly tackle.
