Armed attack on France players

Three French international rugby players have been injured in an attack in the south of France.

Aurelien Rougerie, Julien Pierre and Benjamin Kayser were assaulted by a gang armed with machetes and swords.
Pierre suffered cuts to his hip and required surgery.
Rougerie and Kayser also needed hospital treatment for their wounds.
Police say the France trio had been to a night-club and were attacked in the early hours of the morning.
Pierre and Rougerie both featured in the 2011 World Cup final.
