WATCH: Four nabbed in CTN robbery, as public scramble for cash

Police have launched a manhunt for an unknown number of suspects who fled with an undisclosed amount of cash during a dramatic cash-in-transit robbery in Cape Town.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the robbery on the N7 near Goodwood, which saw bystanders scramble for the cash from the van.
Police say the suspects’ car collided with the cash van, and they then used explosives to blow the safe open.

A shootout between police and robbers ensued.

Both the security guard and driver of the CIT vehicle were shot and taken to hospital.
The four suspects will appear before the Goodwood Magistrate's Court soon.
