Two killed after being ejected from SUV in Durban crash

Two people have been killed, and a man is in a critical condition, following a collision on the N2 near the KwaMashu off-ramp in Avoca.

Paramedics who attended the scene say the occupants were ejected from a vehicle during Sunday's crash.

"Reports indicate that the driver of an SUV lost control, resulting in the vehicle crashing through the safety barriers, down an embankment about fifteen meters, coming to rest on railway tracks below," says Netcare's 911 Shawn Herbs.
"On assessment, medics found that an adult male and adult female had sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene.

"The third patient, an adult male, had sustained moderate to serious injuries and was treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to hospital for further care."
