Three suspects in the dock for allegedly defrauding NSFAS of R1,4 million
Updated | By Newswatch
Three suspected fraudsters have today been granted bail by the Durban Magistrates’ Court.

Sandile Sokhela, Nosipho Sokhela and Thabisile Mdabe are accused of defrauding a tertiary institution of R1.4 million in NSFAS funds.
It's alleged they transferred the money into three different bank accounts between October 2015 and August 2016.
The money was meant for students at a college in Durban.
Sandile Sokhela, who is the main suspect, has been remanded in custody because he couldn't raise his bail amount of R5000.
Bail for the other two was set at R2 000. The trio will appear in court again next month.
This comes as students have been protesting across the country over financial exclusion and other funding matters.
