Rodgers to table revised KZN budget
Updated | By Tsakane Mhlongo
Treasury in KZN says government departments will continue to operate normally until MEC Francois Rodgers tables his revised budget.

In a procedural move, Treasury announced the withdrawal of KZN's budget on Thursday.
It comes ahead of the Finance Minister's third attempt at tabling the national budget before Parliament this month.
Enoch Godongwana recently reversed his decision to impose a half-a-percentage-point VAT increase.
In KZN, Health and Education received the lion's share of the province's R158 billion budget in March.

Finance spokesperson, Nkosikhona Duma, says if the national budget is tabled as planned on the 21st of this month, MEC Rodgers will have 14 days to outline the province's spending plans.
" The dates and time for the provincial budgets will be announced after talks with National Treasury have been concluded. We would like to assure members of the public that government services will continue to operate normally during this period, so there should be no cause for concern."
