One killed, four injured in M4 crash south of Durban

One person been killed and four others hurt after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a side barrier along the M4 near the Old Durban International Airport in the early hours of this morning.

Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says they arrived at the scene and found that the vehicle had overturned.
"The driver had sustained major injuries. Paramedics assessed him and found that, unfortunately, there was nothing more that could be done and he was declared dead at the scene. Four passengers had sustained various injuries. They were stabilised on scene before being taken to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required," he said.
