Motsoaledi calls for probe into death of Mshiyeni intern

Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has called for an urgent investigation into the death of a medical intern at a Durban hospital.

This week, the Public Servants Association claimed Alulutho Mazwi was instructed to continue working at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital.
This after alerting his supervisor that he was ill.
The PSA claims the newly diagnosed diabetic collapsed and died on Monday.

In KZN Health's weekly podcast this week, MEC Nomagugu Simelane said they don't take the allegations against the senior doctor lightly.
In a statement, the Minister says he's spoken to the MEC about the incident and has called on the Health Ombud to conduct a thorough probe.
