Kelly Khumalo's lawyer asked to leave courtroom in Senzo Meyiwa trial
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Singer Kelly Khumalo's lawyer has been asked to leave the court where the trial of five men accused of the murder of Senzo Meyiwa is being heard.

Last week Advocate Malesele Teffo, who's the legal representative for some of the accused, told the High Court in Pretoria that Magdalene Moonsamy's presence made him uncomfortable.
Moonsamy said she was in court on a brief from her client.
Proceedings were briefly paused on Monday as Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela requested her to step out of the courtroom.
"I think we have now come to an understanding which you don't seem vehemently opposed to that for the sake of the purity of the process and in particular, the evidence in this case, you will excuse us from the courtroom."

"As to what you do when you are outside is not in our terrain."
Khumalo was the footballer's partner at the time of his murder in 2014.
Meyiwa, Khumalo and several other people were at Khumalo's mother's house in Vosloorus on Gauteng's East Rand when he was shot.
The first witness is due to take the stand on Monday.
