Family of murdered mother and toddler deny knowing suspect
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The family of the mother and toddler who were murdered in Phoenix north of Durban earlier this month says it does not know and have never met the man accused of the killings.

The 62-year-old suspect, Thembinkosi Ngcobo is alleged to have attacked Ntombifuthi Blose and her 2-year-old daughter, Swelihle at his home in Mount Royal.
Blose's sister, Mercy Mkhize says the family is shattered by their deaths.
"We are still in the dark because we do not know what happened so we have so many questions. We really do not know what is the cause for the killings", she said.
Mkhize says the family is currently preparing for both their funerals.
Ngcobo abandoned his bail bid in the Verulam Magistrates Court yesterday.
