The
leaders of two of the biggest parties in the Government of National Unity say
the revised national budget is on track.

Budget 3.0 will be tabled in Parliament on Wednesday.
It comes after the Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana reversed his decision to raise VAT by 0.5 per cent, effectively nullifying the previous budget, which was adopted by Parliament.
The decision came after mounting pressure from the ANC's partners in the GNU.

DA leader John Steenhuisen spoke at the Nampo expo in the Free State on Friday, and commended Godongwana's efforts on the new budget.
He described the presentation as wonderful, emphasising a collaborative approach in crafting a credible budget aimed at fostering investor confidence and economic growth.
Meanwhile, speaking in Kimberley, ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa also spoke on the upcoming budget.
"The budget is going to be resubmitted, Budget 3.0, and when it is submitted, we will see how the adoption of that budget is taken forward, and whether there is stability that we want is confirmed or not," said Ramaphosa.
