Zuma promises jobs for graduates
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
President Jacob Zuma says the African National Congress has made a lot of progress this year in the delivery of services to South Africans.
Zuma delivered the keynote address at the ruling party's manifesto launch at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg yesterday.
"Over 2.1 million households now have access to potable water, more than 1.7 million households are connected to the electricity grid.
''Over two million households are connected to sewage and sanitation networks and more than 1.5 million households now have access to solid waste management services,'' he said.
Referring to last week's Stats SA figures that showed the country's economy shrunk by 1.2%, Zuma promised jobs will be created, especially for graduates.
