Witness recounts fatal Mount Edgecombe hijacking

Police are now preparing to move the body of a security guard who was shot dead during a hijacking in Mount Edgecombe.
The incident happened on the M41 off Flanders Road. It's believed the guard and another man were delivering cigarettes.
Shocked bystanders at nearby shop have told Newswatch they were alarmed by the number of shots fired repeatedly.
They say a white Toyota Corolla pulled up behind an Isuzu bakkie with two men inside and opened fire.

Glenton Naidoo also witnessed the hijacking.
"I heard the first gunshot and I looked out my window and I could see commotion. The guys hijacked a white bakkie - I think it was carrying cigarettes. The vehicle left the Engen garage at the Spar and on its own way out they shot this guy and they pulled him out and they made off with the bakkie," he said.
The injured victim has been rushed to hospital.
