That order was suspended 15 minutes later when she arrived telling the court she had overslept.

She was reprimanded by Magistrate Mohamed Motala who said her late-coming was unacceptable and shows contempt towards the court.

Magistrate Motala eventually excused her but with a stern warning that if this happens again her bail will be revoked.

Eight of the nine accused have had their bail extended until their next appearance.

Accused number two who is a Nigerian national will remain in custody until he can pay the R20 000 bail.

His bail comes with strict conditions, including that he report to the Durban North Police station twice a week, that he surrender his passport and cannot leave the province without giving a 48-hour notice to the investigating officer.
