This after two IFP members were murdered in Estcourt while conducting door-to-door campaigns on Friday.

The party's Blessed Gwala claims Siyanda Mnguni and Thokozani Majola were shot by people wearing another party's T-shirts.

Gwala is calling on police to investigate.

"I will have to communicate with the family and find out exactly what actually transpired. What I am saying is let's get the facts first," he said.

The police's Thulani Zwane says one of the suspects handed himself over to police and will appear in court today.

"It is alleged that the victim had an argument with the suspect in the tavern and as a result the suspect allegedly shot and killed the victim.

"On the way to hospital the victim died. A case of murder has been opened and a little while later the suspect was taken to the police station by his father for the same charge. He was then charged for murder," he said.

No arrests have been made for the second shooting.
