Four hurt in R603 head-on crash near Winklespruit

Four people have been seriously hurt in a head-on collision on the R603 in the vicinity of Winklespruit, south of Durban.
The two cars appeared to have crashed at a high speed about 2km from the N2 interchange.
Netcare911 says four other people sustained minor injuries and were not taken to hospital.
The road was closed earlier to allow emergency services to work at the scene. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
Meanwhile, a lifeguard making his way to work this morning was hit by a car near the gym along Kingsway in Amanzimtoti this morning.
Emergency services say the man was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
In another accident - authorities are investigating a fatal crash on the R-33 near Albert Falls where a car and taxi collided last night. Emergency services say the driver of the car died on scene.
