ANC Chief Whip, Stone Sizani resigns
Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
ANC parliamentary Chief Whip Stone Sizane has resigned.
The party's spokesperson in Parliament Moloto Mothapo says Sizane will be taking on a new responsibility outside of parliament.
Mothapo says it's not their place to say where Sizane is going.
"Because of the urgency with which he has to undertake this new responsibility, he has resigned with immediate effect. The National Executive Committee of the ANC will take a decision with regards to a replacement," he said.
Deputy Chief Whip Doris Dlakude will step into the position in the interim.
