#ECRMusicTakeOver a first for KZN
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
East Coast Radio is launching a brand-new playlist - with a bang this morning.

During the 28-day ECR Music Makeover over the month of February, East Coast Radio's listeners voted for the tunes they wanted to hear more of.
Since 6am today, KwaZulu-Natal's number one hit radio has been playing the music you love - non-stop.
East Coast Radio has hosted its first live performance out of a billboard, near Griffiths Mxenge Highway, in Umlazi's V section.
Some of the local stars who have taken to the stage are AKA, DJ Zinhle and Durban group, Distruction Boys.

East Coast Radio's General Manager Boni Mchunu explains the thinking behind this big idea.
"We started with the ECR Music Make-over at the beginning of February. For the whole month of February - for 28 days - we asked KwaZulu-Natal to speak to us. And KZN has spoken. So today, we are playing 24-hours of non-stop music. I want to say thank you to KZN for playing their part. We received over 16 000 uniques and over 700 000 votes of the kind of music the listeners want to hear."
