Drive show host and seasoned "walker" J Sbu shares his top four tips to help you cross the finish line with a smile.
1. Pace yourself
"Know your pace, your cadence, and stick to it throughout the 10km walk," advises J Sbu.
Don't burn out early; pace yourself for a strong finish.
"Breathe properly, man. In through the nose, out through the nose," he adds.
2. Stay hydrated and motivated
Hydrate, but not too much.
J Sbu also recommends having something to listen to, like music, to keep you going.
"The right music can push you to keep on going," he says.
Choose inspirational tracks that motivate you to reach the finish line.
3. Find your rhythm
"Mark someone that you are trying to stay in line with," suggests J Sbu. Having a pace-setter can motivate you to keep going.
When you feel like stopping, don't.
"Just keep pushing and remember what it will feel like to experience that reward after completing it," he advises.
4. Stretch and celebrate
"Make sure you stretch thoroughly," emphasises J Sbu.
Don't risk cramps or injuries. After crossing the finish line, celebrate your achievement and take a walk the next day to keep your muscles loose.
