South Africa's most venomous snake!
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Did you know, the snake with the most toxic venom, drop for drop, in South Africa, is not the Black Mamba? It is in fact the Boomslang!

"However, the Black Mamba's venom works far more quickly than a Boomslang, which makes it a more dangerous bite. Boomslang venom thankfully takes a very long time. Symptoms can only start showing after 12 hours or more," says Nick Evans.
In this week's episode of Snake Rescue Extra podcast, Nick discusses the habits and venom of this highly venomous but shy snake.
