Unisa hopes to resolve student strike
Updated | By Portia Cele
Vice-Chancellor Professor Mandla Khanya is due to meet with students today at their request.
They're demanding UNISA re-open 18 recently closed exam centres - 10 of which are in KZN.
Students also want a newly introduced acceptance fee to be scrapped.
UNISA's Martin Ramotshela says the students want to talk to the Vice Chancellor even though the Registrar was sent to receive the memorandum.
"As a university, we are committed to listening to the issues that are raised by our stakeholders including key stakeholders which are the students. For that reason, the Vice Chancellor is going to listen to their issues and see where we can [assist] the student," he said.
