I didn’t think our East Coast Breakfast jock would make it back in one piece when he went fist to fist against professional fighter, the Secret Assassin at the SMD Fight Night recently.
Many of us tried to talk Darren out of going into the ring after he revealed the only training he’d done was, well, nothing! He told us he was going to be fine because he felt inspired after watching many videos of great international fighters. Er, Darren, that’s not training!
On the big night, the entire team put on a brave face and trekked to SMD to support our enthusiastic jock. Despite his theatrical efforts, Darren’s fist never did connect with his opponent’s face. The good thing? He came out of the ring with all his teeth intact.
Darren’s so proud of his first stab at boxing. Ok Darren, we’ll let you call that hammy line dance whatever you want. Here’s how you can improve that fancy footwork and lousy defence.
