Kamini Pather is a foodie. Now she can boast about it.

Kamini, 29, who was born in Durban, is the winner of MasterChef SA Season II.

TV viewers across the country tuned in last night to watch a 90-minute special that saw the food blogger putting on the coveted chef's apron, after three gruelling rounds of cooking.

Kamini went head to head or rather 'ladle to ladle' with Leandri van der Wat, 23, in the final round and both women put on a brilliant show in the kitchen.

On the menu were Western Cape rock lobsters, pink fir potatoes, chicken and a dessert comprising peanut butter ice cream and warm pomegranate jellies.

Kamini bagged a score of 89 from the judges, six points more than Leandri.

Kamini juggles several hats when she's not cooking. She's a photographer, radio DJ and also a yoga instructor. We asked her what her plans are for the future.

Darren Maule, known for his perfect comedic timing, also asked taught Kamini something new about herself.
