Single mother wins at the casino but get’s steak dinner instead

I personally am not a fan of gambling of any kind. I can't even do those late night parties that end in a flirt with a one armed bandit. 

I don't know, there is just something depressing about seeing a person hunched over a slot machine plugging in their life savings and tugging on hope and salvation with every pull.

One can only imagine the high and crashing low this lady felt.

Katrina Bookman was playing a poker machine at Resorts World Casino in New York when the unthinkable happened - the machine siren went off and on the screen it showed she had won... wait for it... $42.9 Million!

What was the first thing she did? Took a selfie with the winning announcement of course. Shortly thereafter she was escorted off the floor and told to return the next day to find out what her winnings would be.

 

The single mother of four arrived back the next day with huge plans to open up a salon and give a huge part of her winnings to her community to find out she had won... a steak dinner.

Yup, the casino said the machine had malfunctioned and a steak dinner is what they could provide. Excuse me, say what?!

I don't blame Katrina for going the legal route! A steak dinner?! As the lawyer says the machine is happy to take the money, and the least that can be settled on is the highest amount paid out of the machine in any given round.

 

This is far from over, but I wonder where it will end. A steak dinner, perhaps?
