We've scooped 12 MTN Radio Awards nominations!
We've bagged a record 12 nominations at this year’s coveted MTN Radio Awards.
Darren Maule and Damon Beard are finalists in the Best Breakfast Show Presenter and Best Afternoon Drive Show Presenter respectively, with The Drive with Damon also cracking the nod for Best Afternoon Drive Show.
The finalists, announced this morning, highlight the extraordinary work East Coast Radio has produced over the past year, both onair and behind-the-scenes.
The full list of the station’s nominees for the 2014 MTN Radio Awards are as follows:

• Best Afternoon Drive Show: The Drive With Damon
• Best Breakfast Show Presenter: Darren Maule
• Community Project: The Big Favour – Dying With Dignity
• Multi-Channel Promotion: Ghost at ECR / Tragedy On Fields Hill / iTunes Number 1’s
• Best Newsreader: Dineo Mphahele
• Best Night Time Show: The Anne Hirsch Radio Show
• Best On-Air Packaging: East Coast Radio
• Best Promotions/Stunt: Freebie Thursday & Where In The World Is Damon?
The MTN Radio Awards recognise excellence in radio across South Africa. It’s about rewarding those individuals and organisations who combine talent, hard work and skill to ensure that their listeners are compelled.
East Coast Radio already has several MTN Radio Awards under its belt including Best Commercial Promotions Stunt (2013), Best Community Project for Toy Story (2012) and Best Content Producer (2011). ECR also received the Station of the Year nomination in 2013.
This year, members of the ECR team are hoping to add to their awards chest when they return to the finals of the MTN Radio Awards on 12 April at the Sandton Convention Centre.
