VIDEO: R50 stunt goes slightly wrong

Yesterday Darren thought it would be interesting to see what Kevin, our videographer, could do with only R50. We sent him to Warwick Junction and instructed him to complete the following tasks…

Yesterday Kevin was under the impression that he had to come in early to studio, and attempt a safe stunt – but Darren and the team had a different plan for him!

We made Kevin park his car in Warwick triangle. We gave him R50...then challenged him to complete a few tasks, and get back to East Coast Radio using public transport, all out on R50!

His first task was to buy coffee and breakfast – which he managed to complete with only R14.

Then he had to find a Sangoma and see if he could buy some of that stuff that helps you win the lotto, returns lost girlfriends and gives you wings – called muti!

He successfully found some muti which surprisingly only cost him R10!

His final task was to get back to East Coast Radio house before 9am with only R24 left.

Unfortunately, we sent two video crew members down to follow him and he had to pay for their taxi fares, which resulted in them being kicked out the taxi due to insufficient funds!

Steve (a friendly man passing by) was kind enough to give them a lift back to studio. They got back just two minutes before 9am!

Kevin claims he completed all the tasks…..but did he really?

We have the video that tells the real story – take a look:

If you missed yesterday's Breakfast stunt here are someof the pics of Kevin performing his R50 tasks:

Task 1: Buy coffee and Breakfast

Buy muti

Get back to East Coast Radio house before 9am

But then he got kicked out the taxi...and managed to get a lift from Steve. (Thank you, Steve)

Kevin made it back to studio two minutes before 9am!
