You’ll be able to visit two glorious winter markets in Durban in August, the first of which is this weekend.

Grab the family and head down to the good food and craft market in Glenwood’s Bulwer Park on Sunday 4 August.

The monthly Food and Craft Glenwood Sunday morning market offers a range of deli items for an open air winter picnic brunch with German pastries, Indonesian Food, Koeksisters and Bacon and egg rolls. There will be gift ideas, décor inspirations, arts and crafts on sale.

There will be fun activities for the kids, Busy Ballers will be doing ball skill activities for the  young visitors and the children's play area is operational. There will also be a jumping castle, cup cake icing and the animal menagerie.

Meanwhile, the Whole Food Night Market takes place at the Three City’s Docklands Hotel on Thursday 8 August. The Night Market moves venue periodically to help us Durbanites explore our city. It takes place in the Point area as the winter sun sets – from 5pm until 10pm.

With the beautiful crisp winter evenings, the decision was to take the market outdoors for a while to star gaze while browsing. The range of products on display is evolving to focus on Durban’s top creatives and funky, cutting-edge design, handcrafted and bespoke items. The vendor mix will include lighting ideas, decor items, restoration services, furniture, fine artists, personal accessories... even a tattoo artist!

Both markets are thanks to Darryl Hofmann and his Wholefood team.
