Flip Flop Friday is an East Coast Radio initiative and unlike all those other hundreds of public holidays and special days of remembrance that South Africa’s are forced to spend money on, you can do this one, Flip Flop Friday, without spending a cent!

You don’t have to break the bank to celebrate East Coast Radio’s Flip Flop Friday.

Here it is…The poor man's guide to the pedicure, as told by Darren Maule!

This will cost you absolutely zero rand:

1.    Soak feet in warm water with salt. Any salt...

2.    Clean up around nails with ice-cream stick.

3.    Shorten and shape nails with office scissors.

4.    Remove dead and rough shin with nature’s natural exfoliator and have a walk on the beach.

5.    For more stubborn callouses just rub up against a rocky bumpy wall or surface.

6.    Separate toes with some rolled up toilet paper and don’t worry if you run out of one colour paint, use whatever colours are available – we are the rainbow nation so show it on your toes.

7.    Use whatever stickers are lying around to pimp your toes.

8.    Leave toes in direct sunlight until dry.

9.    No need for expensive moisturizer, stock standard aqueous cream will suffice. If you don’t have any, this cream is used on dairy cows udders, so just rub your feet on the nearest  dairy cows nether regions.

10.     Any oil will work as cuticle oil – I'm a bit of a snob so I go with virgin oil...

Remember - Wear your flip flops to work or school, then tweet your feet and stand to win your share of R10 000!
