AB a proud dad to a baby boy
Cricket South Africa took to Twitter to congratulate De Villiers and announce that his wife Danielle had given birth to the bundle of joy yesterday.
The baby boy, first child to both has also been named AB!
Cricket SA posted a photo of AB and his wife with their son shortly after. AB said both the child and mother Daniella are in good health.
"We all feel very blessed and grateful. Mother and son are both doing well,'' he was quoted by the club on Twitter.
The ODI skipper is understood to be on paternity leave now after flying back to meet his first born child.
Social media has been abuzz with pictures - and congratulatory messages for the new parents. His teammates who are in Chittagong on duty at the moment have also welcomed little AB.
