PHOTOS: Andre catches two garrick

The team from Freespool promised to ease my angling blues and delivered in spectacular fashion this morning.

I caught two garrick off the KZN north coast.

My fish weighed 9kg and 11kg respectively.

A two-hour fishing session yielded a total of seven garrick and two GT.

We safely released eight of the nine fish we landed.

One of the garrick was kept for the pot.

Brad Arthur of Freespool caught the biggest of the fish today - a garrick of 12kg.

We caught our fish on both live bait and lures.

I can tell you that we ended up not going to Warner Beach.

It turns out they have been catching only red herring down there.

We tagged five of the garrick for research purposes.

Alain Tardin had to work in the office and ended up missing out on what was a superb backline beat.
