Numsa questions Prasa deals
Updated | By Nondumiso Zakwe

The Public Protector yesterday released a report on the Passenger Rail Agency of SA.
Thuli Madonsela found evidence of maladministration and improper conduct.
NUMSA said in a statement that it wants to find out whether PRASA complied with legislation in its procurement of goods over the past four years.
The union says the call is also based on a statement in the Public Protector's report that it found a culture of systematic flouting of procurement and supply-chain management policies.
Madonsela says this may have cost Prasa millions.
''There also seems to be a culture of either poor information management or hiding of information that could provide evidence of maladministration and other forms of improper conduct. If the pattern is not arrested it has the potential to derail the effective and efficient procurement of goods and services,'' she said.
