Dear haters, Kelly Khumalo has a song for you

How do you respond to hate? Well, if you're Kelly Khumalo you record a video of yourself singing a song to all of your haters - and then share it on Instagram.

The Asine singer, who's been making headlines for the wrong reasons lately, recorded a clip of herself singing, "Otlang sheba ong shebe, otlang shebela mahala, otla bolawa ke pelo".

That, loosely translated, means "You can look at me, you'll get nothing from it, you'll only hurt yourself".

The video was captioned: "#SongForTheHaters love u all keep hating".

Who knew that Kelly had such a bold sense of humour?

She seems to have found the lighter side of her dramatic and controversial life. If recent events are anything to go by, Kelly needs all the humour she can find in her life.

This week, the singer made headlines after she allegedly attacked her "lover" Zamokuhle 'Bhaka' Nzama. The KZN herbalist claimed that Kelly poked him near his eye with her nail. According to Bhaka, the fight started after Kelly asked him to leave his current lover. He said he refused to do this.

Kelly also gave her side of the story, claiming that Bhaka was the one who attacked her. In an interview with City Press, the mother of two also said Bhaka was just a fling, and revealed that she is still in love with late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates player Senzo Meyiwa.

Senzo was shot and killed at Kelly's home in Voslooorus, east of Johannesburg, last October.

That's a lot of bad news to deal with in such a short space of time. But Kelly seems to be handling it very well. Here's to hoping that the drama will stop outshining her music one day.

For now though, she's left us absolutely nothing but this brilliant Instagram response to all of her haters.
