A million bucks won't buy you heart!

Everybody knows I'm a diehard Buccaneer fan. Even before I was born, in the 70s, when Jomo Sono played for Pirates, I supported them. I was born a Pirate. I might as well save you the trouble and tell you, who will win the 2014/2015 PSL title. Orlando Pirates! 
 
However, now and again, usually twice per league season, I sit on the fence as a Pirates fan. It’s when they face Amazulu FC. Yes, the Bucs have more bucks to buy expensive players and at one stage, a few years ago, they had over 30 signed players in the first team alone.
 
However, I think this is the downfall of my Buccaneers. Yes, it affords them the most expensive players in the land. Yes, it affords them what is seemingly, the best international coaches, staff etc. There’s one thing money will never buy them. Heart! 
 
This is the one thing Usuthu will always have over Pirates, on any given day. Mandlakazi supporters like my dad, would tell you that, "Amazulu have had heart since their inception in 1932 and it's not a losers’ consolation statement." Yes, I agree with that notion fully. There's an undying commitment to the club by players and fans alike. They have such a rich history that many clubs around the world won't have 100 years from now. To have the likes of Henry ‘Black Cat’ Cele play for them in his football days, is every club chairperson's dream. Many of us remember Henry Cele, from the television series Shaka Zulu. Prior to his fame on TV, he was a goalie for Usuthu. I can just imagine what a nightmare he must’ve been for strikers in those days, if he was as fierce and intimidating as he was in Shaka Zulu. 
 
Yes, Usuthu has not won a league title in a very long time, since the 70s if I'm not mistaken. However, that heart I'm referring to has, most of the time, kept them alive in the premier league. 
 
It is for this reason alone that you will see me wearing green and white when Usuthu goes up against any other team, except Pirates. However, ahead of last night’s match against the Bucs, I sat on the fence. I waited to see which team triumphed over the other. I love them both but I have to say my heart belongs to Amazulu.
