If you and your partner need a little break to get away from the stress of everyday life, look no further than the Spa on Fairway.

This enchanting spa offers a range of diverse treatments that help to rejuvenate and soothe worn-out bodies.

As soon as you walk through the giant front door, you’re captivated by a gorgeous view of the ocean, sparkling pool and verdant lawn.

You’re seen to immediately and drinks are served with a biscuit and muffin.

You’re then ushered into the change room to step into your fluffy, blue spa gown and white slippers. Your belongings are placed in a locker. The only thing you take with you is the key and maybe your cellphone, if you need to check in on the kids.

Natarah and her husband enjoyed the ‘Couples Package’ this weekend. During the 5-hour pampering session their limbs were taken on a journey to absolute bliss! They were first treated to a full body massage where nimble fingers navigated across their bodies, releasing every bit of tension from their scalps to their toes.

The Spa on Fairway’s offering a new massage treatment called the ‘hot candle massage’, which Nats and hubby tried for the first time. A special, scented candle is lit for a few minutes to allow the wax to soften and melt. This melted wax, infused with aromatherapy oils, is poured into the hand of the therapist and then applied on the client’s body.

Andisha Juggernath, the head body therapist at the spa told Natarah that the candles contain a combination of essential oils like lavender, neroli and lemongrass that help to detox, relax and assist in overall body function. Natarah says, “All we wanted to do after that first treatment is sleep. We felt like a huge burden had been lifted off our backs and shoulders. It’s definitely something I’d go back for again!”

When we went back downstairs to the reception area where two glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice and a fruit bowl were waiting for us on the table. After munching on those much needed snacks, we were whisked away to another therapy room for our facials.

The one hour deep cleanse began with a double cleanse followed by the exfoliation, steam, the removal of blackheads and whiteheads (the extraction process), the face and foot massage, the mask and the moisturiser.

With glowing faces, we headed straight to the beautiful dining area and tucked into lunch. Natarah went the healthy route and ordered the butternut, feat, avo and pecan nut salad. “It was scrumptious,“ says Nats.

After chilling on the couch for a few minutes, our couple was taken for their pedicures and reflexology. Natarah says they’d really been looking forward to their very first reflexology. The coolest part for hubby was the caviar gel foot soak at the beginning. Tiny beads are added to the warm water which turn the water into gel as you swirl your feet around. The therapists then added some salt to the gel which turned it back to its liquid state.

Our feet were filed and scrubbed, our nails trimmed and cleaned before 30-minutes of intense reflexology. According to the experts, every reflex on the foot corresponds to every part, gland and organ of the body. Natarah felt a lot of pain when the therapist applied pressure to the toes that represent the eyes. Our breakfast co-host is short sighted and says her eyesight is so bad that she cannot drive or watch a movie without her glasses.

Natarah and hubby drove away from the Spa on Fairway feeling relaxed, revived and well ready to hit the sack. Being pampered is tiring guys! Thank you to the caring and friendly staff at the spa for taking such good care of us. The thing that impressed Nats the most was their attention to detail. She says, “There was always a refreshing drink waiting for us between treatments to keep us hydrated. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We really felt special!”
