Durban harbour shark reminder
Updated | By Kingfisher
Durban harbour seems to be producing some excellent fish at the moment with lots of grunter coming out on cracker shrimp. There have been a few comments made by anglers that old mackerel seems to be working for the bigger fish on circle hooks.

There are still brown rays being caught on baby squid as well as cracker.
Anglers fishing artificial lures seem to be finding the gamefish at the moment. A few kingfish are coming out, while pickhandle barracuda have been caught as well. These fish seem to like the lipless Strike Pros a bit more at the moment.
Anglers seem to be fishing with quite tight drags around the Yacht Moll area as the fish are taking them around the mooring lines and snapping them off. This is a typical kingfish move as they are incredibly dirty fighters and will snap you off at any opportunity.
There have been lots of grunter coming out around the Wilson's Wharf area and The Block. For those of you who have not walked to The Block before, we recommend you go there on a full low to familiar yourself with the sandbanks. This so that you can avoid walking into the channel and meeting up with one of the resident Zambezi sharks that call our harbour home.
