Truck fire closes M7 in Pinetown

Emergency teams were on the scene of a truck fire that led to a total closure of the M7 westbound before the N3 in Pinetown on Sunday morning.
Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the flames, preventing them from spreading to the rest of the tanker.
Garrith Jamieson, who is with ALS Paramedics, says when their team arrived to assist, there was no sign of the driver.

"The blaze mainly affected the hose of the truck. Paramedics search for the driver of the truck, however, it is alleged that he had absconded from the scene when the vehicle started burning."
The cause of the fire hasn't been established.
