Social media has been reacting to Eskom CEO Brian Molefe's assertions after being implicated in the former public protector's State of Capture report.

The report, which was released on Wednesday, as per the North Gauteng High Court ruling, places Molefe in Saxonworld, Johannesburg at least 19 times last year where the compound of politically-connected Gupta family is located.

The report also states that between August 2, 2015 and March 22, 2016 - Molefe called Ajay Gupta 44 times.

Major contracts have been secured with the parastatal - through Gupta-owned Tegeta Resources & Energy. This deal implicates the members of the Gupta family and President Zuma’s son, Duduzane.

Molefe addressed these findings in an Eskom briefing yesterday, saying he was not granted the opportunity to respond to the allegations.
