Updated | By Khatija Nxedlana
South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) in KZN says it's looking into the illegal sale of Sassa cards.
Newswatch received information about a man selling Sassa cards on a Facebook community group called 'Just Sell IT'.
In the advertisement - the man states that each card is on the market for R850 - with a withdrawal limit of R1200 for six months.

Sassa Communications Manager Mbizeni Mdlalose says Sassa cards are not for sale, and can only be granted at their offices after going through the application process.
"They will be making a necessary follow-up to make further investigations or even informing relevant authorities about this. If you are caught with these cards, you will be arrested. Because that means you'll be in possession of illegal cards. In all likelihood the person who's selling these cards is the person who's scamming those people who become the buyers of these cards," he said.
