Motion against Zuma could be an eventful sitting: analyst

A political analyst feels today's debate of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma will likely come down to being a numbers game.

Recent developments such as the State Capture report and a court ruling that the decision to drop corruption charges against Zuma was irrational are likely to be weighty considerations.
Lubna Nadvi feels most of the opposition will express a lack of confidence in the President while the ANC is seemingly divided and that there could be an eventful outcome.

The ANC members have been strong supporters of the President. We'll have to rethink this. Ultimately, if a vote is taken it could be very tight in terms of the motion. So, it's a matter of just watching it and seeing how it will unfold," she said.
