Matric pupil raped while walking to school
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Education officials in KZN are calling on members of the public to work with the police - to ensure those who raped a grade 12 pupil near Cato Ridge this morning, are brought to book.

The matriculant had been on her way to Banqobile High School in Ntekwa, when she was attacked.
The Education Department's Kwazi Mthethwa says her attackers also stole her ID book, timetable, books and other valuables.
Mthethwa says the learner went ahead and wrote her English paper after opening a case at the police station.
"The MEC for Education has indicated that a team of professionals has been assigned to ensure proper counselling of the victim. He further indicated that plans were underway to accommodate the victim, as part of ensuring that this incident does not jeopardise her future," he said.
