China is SA's largest trading partner, says Zikalala

KZN's Department of Economic Development feels both South Africa and China are major players in the global economy.
Speaking at a Trade and Industry Conference in Durban yesterday, MEC Sihle Zikalala says the two countries share a vision of shaping developing economies.
The event was aimed at strengthening industrial co-operation between the between KZN and Guangdon.
He said China has been South Africa's largest trading partner since 2010.
The MEC says KZN boasts an advanced manufacturing sector that contributes 16% to the province's GDP.
Meanwhile, Consul-General of China to Durban, Wang Jianzhou says Guangdong is the largest provincial economy in China - an opportunity of investment for KZN.
