Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education has today deployed its psychologists to an Inanda high school where a 12-year-old boy is alleged to have been repeatedly raped by older learners.
Police are investigating a case of rape and say the Grade 8 pupil alleges the suspects who are currently in police custody had been raping him at the school since January.
They say the three accused, all aged 20 are expected to appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrate's Court tomorrow on rape and sexual assault charges.
Department spokesperson Sihle Mlotshwa says the boy is getting help.
''We have sent our psychologists, I'm not sure if they have arrived at the school yet. But we have asked the district to send them so that they can assist the boy and assess the situation.
''Once they have done that, the team can then advise us on how we can deal with this issue because I believe we need proper advic e so we know exactly how we can assist the boy,'' he said.
