Parents obtain protection order against Durban school bullies
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A protection order has been granted to a Sydenham pupil against five pupils who assaulted her in June this year.

Video footage which was circulated on social media shows the Bechet Secondary School pupil being attacked in the girls' bathroom allegedly over a boy.
The 15-year-old's parents say the order has been granted after a long wait - adding that the youngster has to still attend regular counselling sessions to deal with the trauma of the incident.
Her mother says receiving the protection order was in itself a challenge.
Reacting to the incident, the Education Department said at the time of the assault that bullying at schools is unacceptable.
